Year of the Rabbit 2011 Horoscopes and Predictions

Year of the Rabbit 2011 Horoscopes and Predictions

    by Steph Cheng

Rabbits are one of the luckiest animals in the zodiac. You are a rabbit if you are born in these years 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, or 2011.

And you share this animal with these famous celebrities

Albert Einstein, Frank Sinatra, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, David Beckham, Whitney Houston, Johnny Depp, Tiger Woods and more

Characteristics and Qualities of the Rabbit

Rabbit people are gentle, charismatic, thoughtful and calm. They are admired for their tactful and considerate dealings with all who know them. As such, they are most often depended upon for their wise counsel, or as someone in which to put valued trust in a personal friendship or a business dealing.

One of the most cautious signs in the Chinese zodiac, they are the chess players who take their sweet time before making a move. Yet, they are also the ones most likely to win any intricate game of strategy!

This most obvious of rabbit personality traits also spills into their romantic dealings, and rabbits will not commit to any one person right away.

Once they are settled down in a domestic relationship, however, no truer or more sweeter spouse is likely to be found.

In dealings with family and friendships, they can always be counted upon for a sympathetic ear or a gentle hand to hold.

Their highly developed natures can also be found in artistic pursuits. They have an impeccable eye for color and line that is evident in their thoughtful fashion sense. The rabbit is usually on anyone's Best Dressed list.

Despite (or because of) their outwardly calm demeanors, rabbits are extremely shrewd In business dealings and may never show their hand until just the right moment. They are also quick to bolt from any perceived danger and intuitively know when to fold - and run!

People born in the year of the rabbit often make ideal diplomats or politicians. Rabbit person has grace, culture and beautiful manners. Although rabbit people get on well with everyone, at heart they are basically reserved creatures, and are only really happy when they are engrossed in some sort of scholarly or intellectual activity. They are just too sensitive to the world around them. They are just not able to thrive in a competitive or aggressive environment, and it makes them anxious if someone forces them to take risks. Their inner world is simply too delicate for unsettled or unpredictable situations, and they tend to create a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere on a hunch. This character trait makes them very hospitable and attentive people, who take care of those around. The average rabbit person emphasizes the importance of small details. They pay attention to everything from colour, design and furniture to food and conversation. And only when they are sure that everything has been arranged as they wished, these people can relax and have fun. Person born in the year of rabbit often leads a conservative lifestyle, where one of the most important things is their security. This quality has a negative side also. Opting for safety over risk they may miss good opportunities. This does not imply that these people are frivolous or irresponsible, for when they truly believe in some thing they are serious, perseverant and capable.

Calm as they are, it is not easy to provoke rabbit people. They are sentimental and compassionate. Yes, and they cry easily too. They can be moved by personal problems you share with them. Therefore, if you work as a salesman for a living, you will have much better luck with rabbit people - Nine out of Ten Rabbit people will definitely buy your products!

    Rabbit Love Affairs

People born in this year can be great partners in relationships. Romantic and sweet, faithful too, rabbit people never lack of suitors. They are in extreme need of trust, security and tenderness in a relationship and are really happy when they manage to create an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. When the rabbit person does the planning, he/she is happy calling the shots and will expect his beloved automatically be on the same wavelength. In case the partner's behaviour becomes erratic or hurtful he/she withdraws into your shell. Sometimes this person really believes that everything is fine and these relationships are strong and solid, but careless remark or impudent behaviour can suddenly place serious doubts in his/her mind. It is important to solve such problems appropriately. Partners may discuss these fears and express their points of view openly to avoid repetition of these problems in the future. Otherwise these relationships won't last too long.

In spite of his/her devotion to the loved one, it is important to remember that the rabbit person wants to have a secret side to his/her life, too. It is natural for him/her to demand solitude in order to get in touch with his/her inner self.

Sometimes it takes time for a rabbit person to find a partner, a real soul-mate, and he/she may seem to be fickle and insecure along the way, but when he/she has found that person his/her attachment is boundless.
    Rabbit Career

Call them cautious or call them timid, rabbit people will undertake nothing before they have weighed the pros and cons from every angle. And that is probably why rabbit people are doing their work so well. They are balanced in outlook and cautious in approach, and like to be informed of all the facts before making a judgment. They usually can not bear the cut and thrust of business life preferring work that is more methodical and reliable. At times a rabbit person is a bit of a plotter and tends to be too conservative, but he/she is gifted with a positive yet practical outlook that few can fault. He/she has a talent to avoid the trouble and identify opportunity. But it is important to remember that his/her creative talents will come to the fore when he/she is allowed to work at your own pace. As a rule, colleagues value these people's tact and modesty and realize the fact that rabbit people are unlikely to step over others to achieve their goals.

Year of the Rabbit 2011 Predictions

This year your hard work from the previous year will finally pay off. The year of the Rabbit is traditionally associated with home and family, artistic pursuits, diplomacy, and keeping the peace. Therefore, 2011 is very likely to be a relatively calmer one than 2010 both on the world scene, as well as on a personal level.

Rabbits who thrive on delicate business dealings are best suited to navigating the year ahead. Those compatible with the Rabbit — the Sheep, Dog, Pig in particular — will also find 2011's circumstances inspiring them to greater personal happiness and professional success.

Others will suffer, by degree, depending on how flexible they are to the world mood. Those who have cultivated careful negotiation skills (or, perhaps more importantly, can sniff-out and swiftly dodge dangerous situations!), may attain similar good luck enjoyed by rabbits and those compatible with them in 2011.

    Note:
Special consideration is taken if you were born before the New Year. For example if your birthday is January 23, 1988, were suppose to be a dragon but according to the Lunar calendar you were born before the New Year hence you are still in 1987 and a rabbit.

Verizon iPhone - AT&T Faces Up to 6.5 Million Subcriber Loss

Verizon iPhone - AT&T Faces Up to 6.5 Million Subcriber Loss

    By Teo Adiputra

Now that the iPhone is going to be available for the Verizon network, AT&T is facing up to a 6.5 Million estimated subscriber loss due to this big change. Once Verizon puts up their service available for iPhones, AT&T can face a huge loss of customers because of this huge change! I for one, hope that Sprint comes out with their availability of the iPhone ... RAWR!!!

One of the biggest reasons why AT&T might face a big loss, is because of their dropped services with the iPhone and their service. Many AT&T users face a huge risk of getting their service dropped, and thus why many might switch over to Verizon. What others have been saying, is that once the masses move to Verizon, there might be a possibility of Verizon itself increasing their rate of dropped calls. The reason might be because of the millions of users on that network which might congest and cause dropped calls.

In my opinion ... "Give me a break!" .... If you can freakin add the service to Verizon, why don't you start adding the service for all the other networks such as Sprint, T-mobile, etc. etc. .... freakin dumb butts!

Organic Food - Kallari Chocolate Cacao

Organic Food - Kallari Chocolate Cacao

    by Steph Cheng

For most of us, chocolate is a delicious passion. It's a representation of love, childhood memories of baking with grandma and a cup of warmth in the winter. But the hidden ingredient in chocolate is far from the icing on the cake making chocolate one of the most exploited industries in the world!

Where does our chocolate come from? Well child slaves! That's right move over Nike, there's a new crook in town! Ivory Coast, the country where more than 43% of the cacao in the world is harvested, use child slaves to collect these cocoa pods. Human trafficking of boys in this industry is prominent in West Africa. So if you are considering Hersheys or M&Ms, choose neither! Get your butt down to Whole Foods and buy organic chocolate.

My favorite brand of organic chocolate is Kallari - harvested, processed and produced in the Upper Napo Region of the Ecuadorian Amazon. This amazing USDA approved product is not a company but a cooperative of 900 indigenious Kichwa families. Before, these families did not have the resources to process the beans into chocolate because most cocoa beans are bought off by Americans *cough Hershey* and European companies who keep the equipment to themselves. But with the help of various individuals and NGOs, the families obtained their own facility and equipment. Just 4 hours away from their factory the cocoa beans are transformed into a rich dark chocolate bar, retaining its freshness and intense aroma.

One chocolate Kallari bar is almost $6 while a Hersheys bar is only $1 but how much cocoa is actually in the Hersheys bar? In Kallari there is a minimum of 70% and a max of 85% of real cacao in the product. You pay for what you get. And if we look at a the nutritional information, Hersheys is 24g of sugar, while Kallari has only 5g. So if you wonder why Johnny is so fat. I'll give you a hint: It's not the school lunch.

So do yourselves a favor and buy organic. Kallari - sustainable pleasure for palate and planet. And visit http://www.kallari.com/ for more information

New Year's 2011 at NYC Spot Dessert Bar

New Year's 2011 at NYC Spot Dessert Bar East Village Saint Mark's

    by Steph Cheng

The only way to end our fabolous New Year's Eve 2010 and start the first day of the New Year 2011 was to eat! And what better way to end the night then putting some desserts ontop of our day. Teo and I took my sisters to Max Brenner but with a 2 hour wait, we decided to turn our sweet tooth elsewhere. Lost on 14th St we headed to St. Mark's and found Spot Dessert Bar. It turns out the 2 hour wait at Max Brenners' was the best thing to ever happen to us. It was an orgasmic experience, just hearing our host explain what was on the menu and his recommendations such as the Yuzu Eskimo which I kept pronouncing Yukon Eskimo, Jasmine Rice Pudding and words that you would never put together but actually works at Spot.

Chef Pichet Ong really knows how to pair these ingredients together and it really is an East meets West sensation.
Being utterly confuse and wanting to try everything on the menu, we decided to go for the $50 taste menu which is a bargain! You get 4 choices of tapas, 2 chef special tapas, 2 cupcakes, 2 cookies and 2 choices of ice cream or sorbet.
This was our list which our waitress kindly wrote down for us :

Jasmine Rice Pudding - we had to fight each other for this haha

White Miso Semifreddo - not too sweet, really opens your apetite

Yuzu Eskimo - wonderfully paired, the fruits made it less sour

Soft Cheesecake - its the one in the picture, comes in a cup, very beautifully put together

Chocolate Nutella Macaroon - amazing I could sing

Chocolate Chip Coconut - I think it would've been better warmed up and gooey

We weren't that interested in the cupcakes cause the tapas were just so good but we really loved the Basil ice cream - very fresh and good to finish with and the Apple Mint Mojito sorbet was just so interesting. We also had the Lychee Matcha Bubble Tea and the tapiocas are as good as Ten Ren's. They make a new batch of tapiocas every 3 hours. Spot Dessert Bar really hits the spot with all natural ingredients and made fresh each day. They even give you a stamp card and by the end of our meal we already collected enough for a free item our next visit. And the best thing is, they don't judge you for licking the plates lol.

Visit http://www.spotdessertbar.com/ 13 Saint Marks Place. You can also check out their blog shown here : http://spotdessertbar.tumblr.com/

Hiro Ballroom NYC New Years Eve 2011 - Our 100th Post!!

Hiro Ballroom NYC New Years Eve 2011 - Our 100th Post!!

By Teo Adiputra & Stephanie Cheng

We hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve! I know we did. :) That's why we didn't post anything till today lol. After a whole 2 hours of contemplating where we should go for New Years Eve for 2011, Stephanie and I have decided that we were going to be going to Hiro's Ballroom which is a club in downtown Manhattan. The tickets weren't that bad around $50 for guys and $30 for ladies which included a "1 hour open bar" for the ladies.

Prior to the opening of the club, we met a group of people outside the club as we were waiting whom we've befriended fairly quickly - Jay, Cindy, Marie, Willy, Cindy, and Jason. It was funny how we met, as we were waiting for the club to open up attempting to hook Marie up with the bouncers. All in all, it was a very good new years and a very uneventful one.

After a night of partying, keeping Steph away from creepers and Willy getting us free drinks from the gay bartender, we went to 3rd Floor Inc over at Korea town. That's another great place to eat if you are around Korea town as the prices are very reasonable, and the environment was very friendly. Heading towards 5 am, it was about time that we headed back with Steph, Jason and I trying to catch a cab that would not go to queens so we ended up taking the subway as well.

All in all, it was a very good New Years Eve as we met new friends, enjoyed clubbing together and also enjoyed some good Korean food. Cheers to new friends, cheers to a new year, and cheers to life!

Playboy Mogul Hugh Heftner Engaged to Marry 24-year old Playmate Crystal Harris

Playboy Mogul Hugh Heftner Engaged to Marry 24-year old Playmate Crystal Harris

    by Steph Cheng

When you think of your 80s, your probably worrying about your health, bending over to get something is a pain. Just moving around is hard enough, let alone certain body parts. But not for 84-year old Playboy founder Hugh Heftner, he is far from retiring, in fact he's still kicking it up in his Golden years with another blond beau 24-year old Playmate, Crystal Harris.

On Christmas Day, Heftner tweeted his engagement about giving a Crystal a ring and how she bursted into tears. Crystal also tweeted that "it was the most memorable Christmas ever." This will be Heftner's 3rd marriage. His first marriage in 1949 with Mildred Williams and then 1989 with Kimberley Conrad. Just that morning Heftner had also donated $900,000 to save the Hollywood sign.

I know what some of you are thinking, that's 60 years apart! She can be granddaughter or even a great-grandchild. All I have to say is he is one lucky son of a gun. Maybe the 3rd time's the charm.

    The World's Smallest Christmas Card

    The World's Smallest Christmas Card

Scientists at the University of Glasgow have created what they believe to be the World's Smallest Christmas card which measures 200x290 micro-meters. This was produced in just 30 minutes and it can fit the surface of a postage stamp 8,276 times. In fact over half a million of this can fit in a standard Christmas card.

It seems quite interesting but how do I sign this card? Kind of immpractical but nanotechnologists just did this experiment to show how advance and accurate their work is.

Top New Years Resolution Ideas 2011 and How to Stick With It!

    New Years Resolution Ideas 2011

    by Steph Cheng

It’s that time of year again! When you start making promises with your wife or friends about burning off that last carb but how do you stick to your plans? Read our list if you’re out of ideas on what you can change this year or if you need some motivation.

How can I stick with my New Years Resolution 2011?

    1. Make simple easy to achieve goals. For example if your goal is to lose 10lbs, don’t overexert yourself by doing one hour a day of exercise. Instead do 30 minutes of workout each day or 1 hour three times a week.
    2. Write down your New Years Resolution and hang it on the bathroom mirror. You might grunt about it while brushing your teeth but at least it is a good reminder.
    3. Get a friend to work on the resolution, so at least you can encourage each other.
    4. Give yourself an incentive. Like if you finally clean out the garage, then you can get your car new rims.
    5. Create a routine. If your goal is to drink a smoothie each day then make sure at 7am the fruits are already out on the table.
    6. Have fun, New Years Resolutions ideas aren’t suppose to be painful. Pick something you’ll like. For example instead of exercising you can play Frisbee or football with your friends. As long as you’re sweating, it’s all good!

Fun and Interesting New Years Resolution Ideas

    1. Get a girlfriend/boyfriend. If this is you and your friend’s New Years Resolution then you can be each other’s wingman.
    2. Save up money for a big trip. This might be a problem for some of you but traveling is an experience that you can take from a book. So if your tight on money allocate just $10 a day and put it in a jar for the trip. You’ll be surprised on how much you save if you make your own food or cutting down on consumption.
    3. Get rid of a fear. Are you scared of heights or spiders. Then sign yourself up for a skydiving trip or go to a museum exhibit of bugs. Tip: If you reserve and purchase skydiving tickets that you can’t return then you have to go.
    4. Learn something new like bartending. Buy a few bottles and mix and match drinks that you can happily serve your friends on special occasions. This is also a good way to pick up girls. Then you can kill two resolutions.
    5. Join a club. Every city has clubs for people to participate in. Just google your city and your sure to find clubs that go to the park to draw or get together to try different foods. You’ll make a lot of new friends.
    6. Volunteer. There is nothing more satisfactory then helping someone in need. Check local listings for programs like Big Brother Big Sister or Teach for America.
    7. Contact old friends from high school or college. Me and Teo just reconnected and now we started this blog.
    8. Learn how to cook. Seriously there is nothing sexier than a man who can cook.
    9. Study a new language. Always wanted to learn French well pick up a book. Learn one line everyday and try to use it.
    10. Go to the library. When was the last time you visited a library. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
    11. Visit the park once a week and just watch the people go by while enjoying the trees. Appreciate nature.
    12. Write and keep a diary. Make at least one entry a day. You’ll be surprise to read back on it.
    13. Keep a gratitude book. Even Jason Mraz and Oprah have one. Write at least 5 things that you are grateful for everyday. You’ll soon find you have even more than 5 things to write about.
    14. Take care of your health. Your health should be the most important thing in your life. If you’re sick how do you take care of others?

New Years Resolutions Exercise Ideas for Lazy People

You know you’re lazy when you’re sitting down and telling your brother to get the remote in front of you because you don’t want to life your back from the chair.

So this a list of New Years Resolutions ideas for those ultra lazy people where we don’t expect any miracles, we just want them to move.

    1. Get up from your chair then sit back down. Do this 20 times. If this is too hard for you -.- do it 10 times. If you can’t do this then you might not live to see next year.
    2. Now let’s make this harder. This time without a chair, bend your knees and squeeze your buttocks while going down. If you want you can also bend your arms at the same time to give them a workout. Do this 30 times.
    3. Let’s do some lunges! Nothing hard. Just take one leg all the way back, bend the other knee and stretch your arms to the sky. Hold this position and count to 10. Make sure you get a good stretch.
    4. Lift your knee to your stomach. Do this 20 times on both sides.

Merry Christmas 2010 - Things To Do This Christmas

Merry Christmas 2010 - Things To Do This Christmas

    By Teo Adiputra

    Hey everyone,

Here at Blogger Bookmark, we would just like to thank everyone for your support of our new blog that we have here. We strive in keeping this blog with new updates each and every day, and in return we ask that you support us and also click on the like button on the upper-right hand corner of our website! Stephanie and I would just like to thank you for being a fan of our website, and one day when this blog becomes bigger you can say that you were a part of it from the beginning!

Here are some things you can do this Christmas 2010 :

1 - Number one on my list would be to spend time with my family - It's not often that we get to see everyone all at once with my brother being in the Naval academy and everyone always working, we see each other only a couple of times around the year. This would be a perfect time to get together and spend the holidays together!

2 - Take a trip somewhere - There are so many places you can go this holiday season. As mentioned by Stephanie on her "Best countries to visit" post, (http://www.blogger-bookmark.com/2010/12/best-countries-to-visit-in-january-2011.html) there are many great places to go to. I personally would like to go on another cruise right about now!

3 - Visit the elderly - There are many nursing homes around the nation that you can go visit! Even if you are not in the USA, if there aren't any nursing homes around your area, I'm pretty sure there will be old people to visit as well! When you visit them, you will see the true meaning of Christmas and what it really is rather than just gifts and goodies.

4 - Go to the movies & have dinner - There are so many movie theatres that are open during Christmas, and some places even show Christmas specials. If you don't have anything to do on Christmas, this would be a perfect thing to do during the holidays.

5 - Take a walk and enjoy life - One of the best parts of Christmas is that everyone is usually friendly during these holidays. Take a walk outside, and greet people merry Christmas. You might even make some new friends!

We would just like to wish you a very Merry Christmas here at BB. Feel free to spread some holiday cheer and post a comment within the submission box below!

    Merry Christmas everyone!
